GKN Driveline, the UK-headquartered global leader in contemporary and electrified drivelines, has appointed automotive specialist PR consultancy PFPR Communications to support its media communications.

Delivery of the retainer brief – which includes strategic communications planning, media relations and creative content generation – will be led from PFPR’s UK office with local activation and representation in Germany and the USA.

PFPR is Europe's leading specialist automotive PR agency. It works with auto industry clients in the UK, Europe, the USA and Asia and boasts a global network of experienced specialists.

GKN Driveline is a full systems integration partner to global OEMs and is the only supplier that can design, engineer, manufacture, tune and integrate a complete driveline in-house. It works with over 90% of the world’s car producers and its technologies are driving more than half of the world’s cars.

“As a globally-respected leader in its field, GKN Driveline is a valuable addition to our client portfolio,” said Mike Stainton, Senior Account Director at PFPR. “And it is testament to our auto industry experience, strong credentials and international PR network that we continue to secure and retain an enviable roster of high profile accounts.”

PFPR’s GKN Driveline account team – led by Stainton and Senior Account Manager, Ed Callow, will report to Michael Clarke, GKN Driveline’s Media Manager.

GKN Driveline is part of GKN plc, a FTSE 100 global engineering business that operates within three divisions that also include GKN Aerospace and GKS Powder Metallurgy. Around 56,000 people work for GKN or for GKN joint-ventures across more than 30 countries.
