PFPR wins global communications brief for INEOS Automotive

26 June 2020

Following an extensive competitive pitch process, INEOS Automotive has appointed PFPR Communications to manage and deliver a global media communications campaign for its all-new uncompromising utilitarian 4x4 vehicle – the Grenadier. Production of the Grenadier is due to begin in late 2021 in Bridgend, Wales.

PFPR’s brief encompasses strategic counsel, written content generation, and the management and delivery of local, in-market media relations in over 20 countries across four continents. Led by Associate Director, Mike Stainton, the agency’s account team will support the start-up as it kicks-off a hard-working programme to raise awareness of the brand and its debut product. PFPR will report to INEOS Automotive’s Global PR Manager, Sarah Pelling.

“We’ve launched car brands on a regional basis before,” explained Stainton. “But opportunities to get involved in launching a new British vehicle manufacturer on the global stage are few and far between; it’s a great privilege. It’s going to be an incredible challenge over the next few years.”

Pelling said: “This is such a crucial period for INEOS Automotive, and we took a long time to make sure we made the right selection for our global communications agency. We felt very comfortable with the PFPR team from the first stages of the tender process, and they demonstrated their credentials, experience and expertise throughout.”

PFPR’s role officially started on 1 June.
