Leading automotive PR and communications consultancy, PFPR Communications, has been acquired by two of its senior team members following a successful management buyout. Co-founder Peter Rawlinson has sold the business to Peter Cox, Managing Director, and Mike Stainton, Deputy Managing Director.
Peter Rawlinson founded the agency in 2001 with Peter Frater, and the former took sole control after buying out his business partner in 2018. Cox joined the business in 2006, Stainton in 2007.
“When we started PFPR Communications almost 20 years ago, we had modest ambitions and didn’t foresee how we’d go on to build an international customer base and such a strong reputation in the sector,” said Rawlinson. “Our growth over recent years is in no small part due to the leadership and vision of Peter and Mike as I have gradually stepped back from a client-facing role.
“I’m very proud to now hand PFPR over to them. They deserve the opportunity to take the business even further forward, and I have every confidence that they will continue to deliver the excellence for which PFPR is renowned among clients around the world.”
Cox added: “The strong standing of PFPR as a business and its position at the forefront of automotive communications is testament to the dedication and commitment of the co-founders, and of Peter Rawlinson in particular over the past few years as sole owner. With an incredibly talented team and an enviable client portfolio, I’m looking forward to steering PFPR into the future.”
